Napoleon's cavalry was the bane of the European battlefield. While his horses were second string, his swords were absolutely first rate.

In 1917, the U.S. Navy decided to replace its Model 1860 cutlass which had been in continuous service for 57 years, with a new model.

While not an exact copy of a pre-existing or historical saber, our 1917 Saber has a lot to offer the modern swordsman and is truly a cut and thrust weapon to be reckoned with.
