The mail order sale of knives and other edged tools is legal. However there is a minimum age restriction of 18 years for ownership and or purchase of edged tools, as defined in the Offensive Weapons Act 1996 as follows.....

 

• any knife, knife blade or razor blade
• any axe
• any other article which has a blade or which is sharply pointed and which is made or adapted for use for causing injury to the person

However, as a responsible retailer we age verify all accounts. So for example, if you purchase a torch from us, we will ask you to verifiy your age. This is because the next time you purchase an item, you may want to buy a knife,axe or other edged tool, and because the check has already been done, this will speed your order up.
